The last week Fleeeew by so quickly! I can't even believe I haven't been able to find the time to blog in 7 days!
Well... just a few little updates of the most important things that have happend in the last 24hrs that are the most important before I go to bed:
1. MY GRAMS IS HOME!!! I'll elaborate later, but to put it simple (which it is..but isnt) My Grams has been in and out of the hospital since August. It's been the longest, most painful time in my life and the lives of my family, but Yesterday when I got home to Georgia I found out that my grams came home from rehabilatation yesterday and is at home just 2minutes from me! I ate dinner in about 5minutes and drove straight over to see her. Praise God that she is home and safe and happy to be there. It's been a whirlwind of a year, and I just can't stop smiling knowing is healthy and doing well.
2. My house smells like Raid... the worst smell in the world.. all because of a teeny tiny insect called ANTS. A swarm, colony, family.. whatever you want to call them made my home their home while I was away the last 2 weeks. They must have been having a good time since I killed about 2,000 of those lil' buddies last night. I was in shock.. then really annoyed... then upset.. then just had to laugh at the fact that it could have been a whole lot worse. I could of come home to an army of spiders or roaches and that would have been..well I prefer to not think about it, but I stopped where I was and thanked God making me grateful that I atleast have a home to go to BUGS AND ALL!! :)
3. Pray for Ankoo!! He has started Exam Period down at Auburn and is so unbelievably stressed out. He's so nervous about his last 3 exams, if u have a chance to pray his exams are Thursday at 7pm central time, next Monday at 8am, and Tuesday at 8am. I hope things just go smoothly, and everything lines up right for his graduation on December 19th!! I'm so proud of how much he's put in to changing his studying habits, and how hard he's worked the last 6 weeks to get to this point. Hopefully there is the right job waiting out there for him to find. We just keep praying about it every day and every night, and I know that He will answer our prayers.
4. I won the giveaway that Natalie had! I can't believe it!! Wow wow wow! I have never ever ever ever won a single contest, raffle, cake walk in my whole life! I'm very proud, my only problem was making a choice on which ornament to get and for who! Oh, and if winning wasn't surprising enough... the other winner was Cheryl, my cousin! Unbelievable! I'm so happy for her as well, she deserves a pretty ornament for her tree. I love her so much!
5. Hmm, okay I'm actually sleepy now, so thats enough updates for this Tuesday! Hope everyone reading this is having a wonderful week!
Love you all and Sweet dreams!

Love, Gifts and Prayer Requests
I am so very excited it is Christmas time! It has to be the most magically time of the year. I gave away my very first christmas present tonight (i know i'm 3 weeks early!), I just couldn't wait. To give a little background, my wonderful boyfriend of over 2 years, who I dearly love, has what I would call a home-run family. I am so in love with them and feel as if I was created to be a part of their family since the first night I meet them. I don't know how God does it, but ever single thing He plans has a purpose, which has been so true in me meeting Ankoo. When I met him I was ellated to know that he has lots and lots of cousins just like me, and lo and behold his cousin Julie and I have become best friends for eternity. She is such a wonderful person, and I would trust her with my life. In return she trust me with hers too.. well, what I mean by her life, I mean daughter! She has a little girl named Clara who Ankoo and I bonded with from the moment we saw her. She is the sweetest thing in the world, and I undoubtbly would give my left and right arm to never see that child go through pain! I use to babysit her weekly while I was living in Auburn throughout the past 2 years, and loved every minute of it.
So, as my unbiological child (hehe) she naturally receives presents from "Kay-Kay" every time I see her. Can u blame me?! Little girls are just so much fun to buy for! The whole reason for saying all this is to tell you all that although I had her a new pink sippie and an adorable christmas outfit, I went today and searched for the RIGHT version of the First Chirstmas book to give to her tonight. It took me forever because just so you know there are MANY watered down-half truth- kinda ify versions of The Christmas Story.(Which made me so sad knowing there are kids who may receive those and not know the truth about Christs birth.. and unfortunately the "misworded/fiction" versions were the ones on front display) I was determined to pick out the right one because she loves to have you read to her, and I felt if Julie was going to read it to her it needed to be what God wanted her sweet little ears to hear and speak to her now and for years to come at Christmas time when she reads it over and over again.
Please pray for Clara. Whenever y'all think about your little girls, she has wonderful parents, but they don't attend church so it would be nice to know that a few of y'all would keep her little heart on your minds! Thank y'all
ALSO, I found out today that a friend of my mom's named Tracy just found out this morning that she is pregnant with her second child! She and her husband are very excited, but very anxious as well. They have a 3 yr old little girl, and have been trying since since was about 8months old to have another child. Tracy just had that deep yearning to have another baby, but even with fertility treatment they had been unsucessful... Til Now! Please keep them in your prayers, I know she would appreciate it so very much. She's actually a person who my mother has been ministering to a lot in the past couple months, and when things started really upsetting her about not getting pregnant, my mom told her that she needed to give it over to God and let him take that stress away from her, that she needed to realize that what ever God's plan for her was she needed to understand that His plan was so much greater than she could realize yet. I pray that maybe this pregnancy is a God sent in their lives and that their eyes will be openned up to that!
Sorry its alot for a Monday, but we can't ever plan when things hit us!!! Hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Too bad Auburn lost... there's always next year!

God Must Be an Auburn Tiger...
The saying in Auburn goes:
God must be an Auburn Tiger because the Sky is Blue and the Sunset is Orange!
Well... I reminded my mom of this last weekend ( who is actually in love with our Auburn Tigers as much as me) and her only comment back was, " Well... if he is a Tiger... he must be pretty upset with his team this year!" Followed my lots of laughs. She found it a whole lot funnier than I did! Gotta love her though!
Anyways, as many many of you know the biggest game of the season is on today at 3:30 Eastern time! The IRON BOWL between the Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide is the game everyone in SEC waits to watch all year long... well maybe it's not the biggest for everyone, but I have grown to think so in the last five seasons! I wasn't able to go to any games this year, but I was a true fan and watched as much of each game as I could stomach. We haven't had a perfect season, but you have to stand by your team when they have a 13-0 season and when they have a 6-6 season (hopefully after today! :) )
Yesterday I saw the most beautiful omen. My parents' home in Florida is right on a little lake where every morning we have bird sightings and gator sightings, but for the first time we saw a BALD EAGLE circling the lake!!! Even if it wasn't a good sign that we are going to win the game, it was still a reminder of God's beauty. Bald Eagles soaring has always been one of those peaceful beauties that I could watch for hours.
No matter who wins I hope none of the players on either team get injured today. It's such a heart-jerking game that sometimes things can get out of hand when emotions are running high!
Thought I'd leave y'all with a little flash back from the past that MAYBE we'll see happen again today!
Bo Jackson going over the top of the pile in 1982 to score the winning touchdown for Auburn!
Love y'all and WAR EAGLE!!

fPhoto Friday
Well... I have a few photos I took this week at the beach, but I found another that a friend took that I thought was just beautiful!
Here's mine first,
Here is the picture from my friend Caitlin's album. I'm not quite sure where she took the photo, but I thought it was a wonderful example of God's beauty. Caitlin is a girl that I went to school with at Auburn. She's one of those girls that you can tell has a beautiful heart when you meet her. She was in the Social Work program with me and has a great desire to change the world for the better. I'm sorry to say that I don't know exactly where her heart is, but if you have a moment in your day please just take a few minutes to pray for her. When I saw her picture today something just pressed my heart to pray for her.
God Bless~

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful thanksgiving and taking the time to take in every moment of the day! I cooked for about 6 hrs this mornings and I can't believe how quickly the day flew by! I feel so very blessed this year to be having thanksgiving with so many people that I love and love me back. God certainly is mighty and has blessed me and my family in so many ways. This whole year has been a year of learning to listen to Him, instead of just listening to myself, and knowing all along that His plan is so great than I can ever imagine. He is my Father, and I certainly learn from Him every day, even sometimes when I don't even realize it!
Enjoy this beautiful day and I'll see y'all around later!

My oh My its Beachy Time
I apologize for not blogging for DAYS, but vacation time in Florida came quickly and I have had a hard tiem finding time to blog! I'm so happy its Thanksgiving Week! I think the whole week is important, not just Thanksgiving Day. The whole week should be devoted to laughing and enjoying the blessing of family. My Thanksgiving Week is always somewhere away from home, which is okay with me because i'm happy whereever my family is!
This year my parents, one of my nephews (he's 2yrs older than me), my middle older brother, his girlfriend, and my boyfriend are all down here in FL at my parents new home. Its a smaller group than what we normally have, but I'm so happy to spend time with my nephew.
We've been playin' golf, going to the beach, laughing ALOT, watchin sunsets and eatting tons of yummy home cooked meals! Speaking of which, I have a whoooleee lot of cooking to start doing tomorrow morning. Gotta get started early so my mom and I don't have to wake at the crack of dawn on Thursday. Do you all start your cooking early or wait until thanksgiving day?? ALSO, What is y'alls FAVORITE Thanksgiving food you just can't wait to have a big spoonful of?? I can't wait for the.. squash dressing. It might sound strange but it is FANTASTIC. A great recipe that is really simple and delicious. I would love for some of yall to share your thanksgiving ideas with me! I love to collect new recipes every chance I get.
Here are just a few of the pics from this week so far:

Cooking.. For One
I loooove to cook.. but it's just not as much fun cookin' for just me instead of for Ankoo or for a big group of friends/family! Instead of getting down about spending a few days alone I decided to head to the store today and find me some new yummy holiday treats to make. My lovely boyfriend's grandma had a magizine last weekend with some great recipes in it, so I thought I just might get lucky and find it! Lucky me, there was one left!! The magizine is Taste of Home: simple & delicious Dec 08 and its a great one if you're lookin for easy recipes during this extremely busy time of year. I'm going to try out the Peppermint Meltaways tomorrow! I'll let you all know how the taste. Don't you just love the holidays?!
Peppermint Meltaways
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
Frosting:
2 Tbsps butter, softened
1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
2 Tbsps peppermint extract
2 to 3 drops red food coloring, optional
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
In a small mixing bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in extract. Combine flour and cornstarch; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Shape into 1in. balls, place 2in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350degrees for 10-12min. Remove to wire racks to cool.
In a small mixing bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Add the confectioners' sugar, milk, extract and food coloring if desired; beat until smooth. Spread over cooled cookies & sprinkle w/ crushed candies! Makes 3 dozenish
Thank you to everyone who has been stopping by to say hi! I can't wait to get to know you all more!

Love for my Tigers :)
Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I had a nice relaxing weekend down in Auburn with Ankoo and the girls. Unfortunately Auburn lost (barely) to UGA on Saturday, but it was an amazing game to watch! I know we’ve had a rough season (to say the least), but I’m still very proud of my Auburn Tigers for trying to fight in the midst of such a crazy year. It seems the whole SEC took a turn for the worst after the first couple games. It’s a miracle that AL and FL have kept on going for so long! Too bad Alabama’s winning streak has to end on the 29th!!! I know y’all are thinking its just wishful thinking, but all you UGA fans know that y’all almost beat Alabama yourselves, which means we have a chance of having a close game too!
I have to say… I may be an Alum now, but I still LOVE watching the Tigers play. It’s just so excited especially when they are playing here at home. Auburn is just one of those really awesome football towns. It was so much fun to live there for four years and have that experience every Fall. I’m happy to have graduated, but a piece of me misses waking up at the crack of dawn on Saturdays to get all gussied up and start tailgating long before the game begins. I love Tradition, and that’s certainly what Auburn is all about!
Nothing else real exciting went on… so tell me, what did you all do this weekend? Watch any great football games???
By the way! If you get a chance watch Jon and Kate Plus 8: The Wedding tonite at 8! It's going to be beautiful!

Gotta Start Somewhere!
Hellllo big scary blog world! Here I am, and I plan to stay a while if that's okay! :) I made a decision to get on board and get myself my very own blog! I'm very excited about starting this! I feel like I blog in my head daily so I'm happy, but a little nervous to share all my thoughts hopefully for many others to see!
My beautiful cousins have had blogs for a while now and I enjoy reading their blogs weekly, so I hope to be as eloquent with my writing as they are! I have no clue what I'm going to blog about, but hopefully if you're reading this you are prepared to comment on the days that I have wonderful events in my life that will have you on the floor laughing and on days when I may need some reassurance and the encouragement of your prayers!
I saw this on a blog that I like to visit every once in a while and thought it might be a good place to start! Feel free to copy and answer all the following questions as well.
What is your writing process? I write things mentally all day long, and try to remember them by the time I make it home to a computer!
What are your greatest creative inspirations? My fabulous friends and family! They make me laugh constantly and fill my mind with lots of crazy random thoughts that string from one to the next! Just paying attention to everyday events can prove to be pretty inspirational as well.
What are your greatest creative barriers? Being scared that what's in my head might not make as much sense on paper! And btw, do feel free to tell me when my words seem scrambled~ I apologize ahead of time!
What is your favorite word? "Theory".. These days I think I have a new theory on EVERYTHING that comes my way. Poor poor Ankoo is stuck listening to my craziness daily.
What is your least favorite word? "Stupid" I overused it constantly as a teenager and drove my mother crazy.. fortunately for her I strongly dislike it now because it's just too blah of a word to use for discribing..anything or everything.
What sound or noise do you love? The crackle of ice as it melts, and the giggle of little kids when they get really excited the second they see you come in the room.
What sound or noise do you hate? Utensils scratching on a plate.. it gives me horrible chills!
What is your favorite curse word? Can u actually have a favorite? I hate curse words, ick! Seriously, I strongly dislike the few that I do use unfortunutely often.. but there's definitely not a favorite.
A song/band/type of music you'd risk wreck & injury to turn off when it comes on the radio? Techno.. i just have never really liked it. I think it can easily ruin a really amazing song.
Best show on television? Jon and Kate Plus 8- I absolutely love them and can not wait to hopefully meet them in March!!!!!!!!!!
Favorite movie? I have a ton, but I've watched Little Women hundreds and hundreds of times. It's one of those childhood things that has stuck with me.
Favorite room in your house? The kitchen! If I could I would stock my kitchen with every gadget imaginable! I could and would cook all day long if I: Had the time, Had a stocked Fridge, and Someone to eat my delicacies 24/7
Best concert? So far.. Tim McGraw. He's just a really great performer.
Brass or strings? Strings. I think they are just divine!
If you could have anything put on a t-shirt what would it be? ALL of my family! Including the cousins I see daily and the ones I haven't seen in a very long time! I love my family sooo much!
The best part about being your age? Being expected to be responsible I guess. I'm finally way past the point of being babied anymore, and I love being a person that other people feel they can go to for advice instead of just the other way around.
Favorite Girl Scout cookie? Oh wow.. I'm drawing a blank! Oh! The Thin Mints! I love them right out of the freezer and dipped straight into cold milk.
Poker or gin or bridge? I have to say Gin.... small secret is that I learned how to count when I was little by playing with my daddy. Don't worry though, I have never played for money, just for fun!
Shower or bath? Showers. I don't feel squeeky clean after a bath.
Favorite pajamas? XL Cotton Tshirt.. Can't be brand new though! Must be well worn in!
Nightmare job? Anything that has to do with numbers... unfortunately I think I may have to deal with numbers for a while tho!
A talent you wish you had? I wish I could play the piano really well. It's sucha beautiful sound to close your eyes and listen to.
Dream vacation? Somewhere with a giant fireplace and snow coming down outside. There would be a beautiful meal laid out of the floor with candles all over and big blankets to cuddle up in with my favorite person!
What's on your nightstand? A lamp, a glass coaster, Kleenex box, alarm clock, and the 2nd picture Ankoo and I took together :)
3 weird things about you:
~ I'm 22 and my favorite thing to do is Cook!
~ I constantly play out whole conversations in my head.. even if those conversations will absolutely never come true.. which I guess may be a good thing every once in a while!
~ I refuse to be afraid to stand up for the things that matter to me, and will always speak my mind..even when it would be a whole lot easier to just shut up mouth.
Alrighty.. that is definitely enough about me for a first blog! Love you all!!! Have an amazing weekend!!!
Love- KK

Love- KK
